“My music tells the story of my search for My Truth—What is YOUR Truth? Where do you find it?
Find the Courage to make the Choice to make the Changes in order to find your Truth.
This is Change Your Brain Music.”

Based out of Charleston, SC, Rene Russell and the Bottom End is a percussive, Americana-Rock band formed in early 2018. Their new sound focuses on Rene’s unique 12-string guitar playing style and her original songs, her “Change Your Brain Music”. She challenges you to have the courage to make a conscious choice to make changes in your life that will lead you to your truth.  Her songs speak of her journey and learning to live her truth.

To date the band has released 4 singles with an EP on the way, they will be playing regionally, securing slots in key venues and festivals.

Prior to the inception of the band, Rene Russell traveled as a solo performer who began her career in the ’80’s.  At that time she was fortunate to be a part of many music scenes across the country and play with many, now successful musicians, who were at the beginning of their careers such as Indigo Girls, Jennifer Nettles Band, Tom Chapin, Michelle Malone, Danielle Howle and others.

She now plays her original songs with the band at select venues and continues to play solo covering a wide variety of favorite cover tunes as well as her original songs.
